Curious, really does not specify who gives up a spot, that is to be decided later. You think the MWC vs BYU would be the preferred match up.

BYU Bowls
2015 Las Vegas or Hawaii
2016 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl
2017 ???? (Possible return to Miami Bowl?)
2018 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl
2019 Las Vegas or Hawaii

The MW gives up their spot in both bowls. The MW will play in the Armed Forces bowl vs the Big 10 instead of the LV bowl for 2015.

I thought that was CUSA's slot vs Big 10 in AFB? Did they give it up.

Also, is the opponent for BYU the AAC. AAC is supposed to play the MWC in the Hawaii bowl.

CUSA has the HOD bowl or whatever its called now.

As for the Hawaii bowl, I think the AAC is the team for this year but not sure in 2019.
Have to wonder what the criteria is to decide whether BYU gets the LV or Hawaii this year. (perhaps the # of wins?)

Avoiding rematches is likely one criterion. BYU plays three AAC teams (UConn, ECU, Cincinnati) in the regular season. Having the flexibility to place BYU in Las Vegas this year gives the Hawaii Bowl the option of taking one of those three AAC teams if that's how the season plays out.
