I fell asleep on my recliner listening somewhere around the 11th inning...my wife was up writing a paper and woke me up about 11pm and said we won in 17 innings. I was severely out of it and thought I was dreaming...went and crawled in bed and found out it wasn't a dream, haha. From AL.com:

I turned it off in the 17th, and went to bed. In hindsight I'm glad I did.

It's the second longest game in USA history. The longest game was against UAB in 1981 that went 19 innings.

I was there and left after 13 innings.

Funny how you can hit frozen ropes in a game all night right to em, and you can tap a ball in the infield that could say has eyes to win a game....
