You sure about that one?

Compare that with Boston College since they both claim the same tv market. Boston College does not want a competition to come in and take away their tv markets.

UConn and BC do not share a market. Hartford is a top 30 market itself and almost half of our fans live in Fairfield County which is part of the NYC DMA.

Boston College claims the whole New England tv market including Connecticut and the NYC market. That is why they left the Big East because they do not want to share the same tv market with U. Conn.

What does claim mean? I'm not even sure Boston College can claim the Boston market at this point.

It is more of politics that would block U. Conn to even join the ACC. The only news that came out the past few days was that U. Conn and Syracuse football is resuming their rivalry football games for 2016 and 2018. There is no news about U. Conn going to either the Big 10 or the ACC rumors. Just forum posts that are misleading people.

Cincinnati, Navy and Temple seems to be ahead of U. Conn. They are not AAU to join the Big 10. And they are too far away from the Big 12 schools.

ESPN is headquartered in Connecticut. ESPN gets boatloads of tax credits from the State of Connecticut. The ACC wants ESPN to start up an ACC Network for them. That makes UConn much more "deserving".

I am sorry but all that you just posted, it doesn't matter.

U. Conn. football does not make ESPN any money. Cincinnati, UCF, Memphis and NAVY have the viewers for football. U. Conn does not. Until U. Conn starts playing like a P5 school, they will not get in period.

Seriously, you need to pay attention. UConn football does not make ESPN any money? Are you really that simple minded?

Do you understand the concept of The State of Connecticut giving massive tax breaks to ESPN because they are headquartered in Connecticut? Do you understand how important that relationship is between ESPN and Connecticut's Legislature? It's not like ESPN is dealing with a one headed snake. When dealing with a State Legislature, you are dealing with a many headed hydra. That means it is a no brainer for ESPN to make sure UConn is sitting at the big table when the music finally stops.

It's obvious that concept goes over your head.

Now, on to the second concept of UConn sports. Do you honestly believe ACC expansion has been about football? Just ask Clemson fans if you mistakenly believe it has been. Louisville, Syracuse and Pitt all have stronger basketball programs than their football programs. Louisville has a strong football program but their basketball is Elite. Syracuse can have good football years, bit despite the drama going on there now, Syracuse is an Elite basketball school. Pitt has football history but in recent history they have been much more of a basketball school. Notre Dame brings both basketball and football strength.

ACC expansion has not been overwhelmingly about football. UConn has elite level basketball for both men and women.

Cincy, UCF, Memphis and Navy do not individually make that much greater numbers for football to make up for how much worse their numbers for basketball would be for the ACC. That cant even be argued against.

Ok time to kill this thread. UConn isn't going anywhere. They can't even figure out how to make a football uniform.

Okay I will. And while I'm at it you're banned. This time for challenging me to do something about a retort from a closed thread and because you essentially dared me to do it. Therefore your wish is granted and don't let the door smack you in the backside on the way out. JR
