50,000 add partial additional deck to Reed Shank plus end zone. Such seats will not generate enough to pay for themselves so the link has to be ACC or B12 mandate.

UC Magazine

They had them featured in one of the very first "Construction Updates" when they were working below grade. They had to drill through them (the old locker rooms) both vertically (for the foundation columns) and horizontally (to run lateral strengthening steel). It (the new construction) pretty well demolished the old locker-room facilities. (Keeping in mind that they were condemned and not in use past 1994 anyway.)

We could use another update - I wonder if Tommy G is still checking out the message board?

Could we not add end zone box seats in the building under the scoreboard with some modification. Luxury boxes might not add much to attendance but it would add to the revenue.

Have you ever seen a stadium with Luxury End Zone Boxes? I have not but just asking.

Arizona State, Ole Miss just off the top of my head.

also Clemson, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Southern Miss have all built brand new end zone structures featuring luxury seating options in the last decade or so.

USC Trojans have end zone luxury suites (new addition)

Quote:Ten private Field Suites, seating 16 patrons on the field just feet from the action, will line the east end zone in front of the Sun Deck. Suite holders, who will access the field via the iconic Coliseum Peristyle stairs, will enjoy an unprecedented VIP experience. Field Suite holders have unlimited entry to the Peristyle Club, as well as to the Field Club.

I sat in a luxury suite at Ohio State during a high school state championship game, and it was right at the goal line.

RE: Nippert Construction Update: 4/28/15
I recently visited CU and they just completed update to their end zone that could be duplicated at Nippert. These seats are an upgrade over standard seating but not as expensive as club seats, but still have a club level feel.

I suppose you have a great view of 1/3rd of game. I prefer a good view of the whole game from Club Seats.

Not everybody has to squint to read the program like you do.

Some people can actually see 100 yards.

RE: Nippert Construction Update: 4/28/15
I think the toughest thing about the "north" endzone seating at Nippert is that the video screen is completely above and behind you. Meaning that, if you're down there, there is no way you can see what is happening at the other end. At least in some stadiums, you can see a video screen at the other end of the field. But "Bearcat Vision" is really not accessible to the folks sitting in the "north" endzone stands.

That and it is also the location of the speakers and sitting there during the pregame warmup "music" can at times become unbearable.

RE: Nippert Construction Update: 4/28/15
Well if boxes were built into the building of the north end zone you would have TV in the suite for replays (Wouldn't need the video board/scoreboard) and you would be insulated from the speakers.

I think not exploring that option for future development would be myopic.
