There would have been crossing of the borders at some point due to that.

WWF actually was on TBS taking over the Georgia Championship Wrestling spot. The slot was later sold to Jim Crockett Promotions due to backlash from Southern Wrestling community., Then later Turner bought Jim Crockett promotions and created WCW. If WWF had of failed when attempting to cross territorial lines then Turner never would have bought out Jim Crockett.

Yes he would have

The ONLY reason Turner bought Jim Crocket Promotions is because the WWF was successful in their bid to go national. He did not like the fact that McMahon had came in and took over the TV spot held by Georgia Championship Wrestling. If the WWF had failed then there would have been no need to buy our Jim Crockett Promotions. And it was not a given they would have survived if the other promoter would have worked together. The GCW fans did not like the gimmicky costumes and characters in the WWF and let TBS know it. Their first trip to Memphis they had less than a 1000 people show up at the convention center.

If he didnt buy it was going bankrupt Jim was millions of dollars in the hole when he sold to Ted. Ted loved him some wrasslin so he was never gonna let die and then decided he would poke the bear and got some good shots in but then the bear ate him.

You seem to not be able to grasp upon the concept that it the WWF had failed in it's attempt to cross territorial line that there would not have been a bear to poke. Ted didn't care about Jim Crockett promotions is was out of Carolina and only bought the time slot on TBS. It was only after WWF succeeded that he took any interest.

As far as the bear biting him. WCW was winning the Monday night wars hands down until the WWF went gutter. The college crowd was firmly in Nitro's corner and there was weekly Nitro watch parties across the US on college campus. But when Time Warner bought TBS then WCW was limited as to what it could do. When suddenly WWF valets started losing their tops left and right on TV and during live events. Then WCW was unable to compete. Half those girls came from strip joint to start with and the WWF pushed them for Playboy shoots. The WWF kept half the plastic surgeons in the country busy there for a while. Even the princess witch went under the knife.

I will tell you this much Ted Turner is still raking in the money and the WWE is bleeding red ink at an alarming rate. He may have been bitten by the bear but he is still a member of the billionaires club and the bear is not.

You seem bitter Vince advanced with the times while Ted still thought Hogan was an attraction. Ted also didnt mind hiring Russo who brought WWE to the "gutter" as you say or when DDP's wife posed in Hustler or what about Major Gunn's or Miss Hancock you cant use a gutter argument when wcw was trying to do the same thing.

WCW never had any "wardrobe malfunctions" on the air or at house shows. Seems that once every two or three weeks a WWF diva/valet would lose their top in or around the ring.
