I heard the SEC, in an attempt to improve its perceived lack of academics, is planning to extend invites to as many as 10 Ivy league schools. Alabama is leading the effort and has sent 200 Christmas cards to random middle school students in Wyoming and Quebec.

Near the end of the ACC and Big 12 GORs, Fox will pony up hundreds of millions of dollars for the Big East to invite Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Louisville, Miami (FL), Florida State, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Connecticut, and West Virginia to join the Big East. UNC and Virginia would join the Big 10, but NC State and Oklahoma State get bailed out by the SEC. Wake Forest, Memphis, and Cincinnati join the Big 12 to get them to 11 members. Notre Dame joins as a non-football member, and then BYU joins for football only to square up the Big 12.
