SBNation (AAC Previews): The big 2015 Houston football guide
https://www.sbnation.com/college-footbal...ule-roster

summary:
Considering the makeup of this team, that could be a good thing. The offense should be prolific enough to put up points against all early opponents not named Louisville, and the defense could have time to find its footing against early opponents ....But there are enough weapons at key positions (namely quarterback and running back) to be intrigued. And it's hard not to be impressed enough by Herman and his hires to assume they figure out how to win quite a few games in their first year.

To those keeping track at home:

7. Houston
8. Tulane
9. Tulsa
10. UConn
11. USF
12. SMU

Pesik, what's the status on the countdown thread?

Also, UNLV is #128 in the OS countdown. UTSA is the most recent at #120 I think

If you read the fine print, SB Nation is releasing these one per weekday, starting last Monday. They are publishing them in reverse order of SBN's predicted finish.

So far:

12. SMU
11. USF
10. UConn
9. Tulsa
8. Tulane
7. Houston

For the top 6 spots, that leaves, in some order, UCF, UC, ECU, Navy, Memphis and Temple.

Four more this week, and then the final two next Monday and Tuesday.

here's my guess.

6. ECU

2. Memphis
1. UC

Oh ok, I figured you could make a compiled thread for all posts such as this one, and them just update as they come out. Just let me know when you start

7th? In my time of following the Coogs (granted, it's only been about 10 years), I don't think I've ever seen us that far down the pecking order. I guess we get to play the role of spoiler this year.

I'm guessing they have Memphis #1, b/c of the title of the parent article: "The big 2015 AAC football guide, from SMU to Memphis."

See the link below. No way to guess #s 2-6, though.

Are we allowed to sleep on Houston now?

At your own peril, my friend.

They have us in the bottom half of the conference? I guarantee we don't finish in the bottom half of the conference. In fact, I think we have a good shot of playing in the CCG.

Hubris implies a lack of understanding of the real situation. One of us was at last years spring game and this years spring game. One of us wasn't. The difference in the two games was night and day. I remember being very concerned after last years spring game with the total lack of offensive production. It was essentially the first hint that the UTSA debacle was coming. Based on what I saw this year, and barring injury to Ward, we will be a significantly better team in 2015.
