Predict the next shift in CR
I see it being a lot of total moves but all small moves mostly that by the, selves don't move planets.

1) UConn gains AAU in 2015.

2) Mizzou & UConn to the B1G in 2015/16.

3) ECU rebrands itself "Carolina University" and starts a new research project to boost its resume. By end of school year 15-16. It really pisses off UNC and USCe that all those purple shirts are walking around yelling "Carolina U" now.

4) The Big East adds STL, Dayton, Drake, Davidson, GMU & STB. 2016

5) The B1G & BE expand the Gavit games to all teams and it looks like this as a yearly scheduling. Becomes a main stay of all schools schedules and a boom for fox.
Perm:
Drake-Iowa
SHU-Rutgers
Creighton-Neb
Providence-UConn
STL-Mizzou
DePaul-Northwestern
Marquette-Wiscy
GTown-Maryland
Nova-PSU

Mix: odd men out matchup. So which every state school is left out crosses border shuffle wise yearly.
Butler- Indiana, Purdue
Dayton & Xavier- tOSU

Yearly Rotating:
SJU, STB, GMU, Davidson
Michigan, MSU, Minn, Illinois

6) 2016 The ACC announces ND as a full member and adds Cincy. They also role out the ACCN now with 16 full members and get a slight bump in money. If the network gets carried then the numbers will increase in time...

7) Temple and UMass join the MAC for all sports in 2016. The a10 is dead bball wise. They bring ODU and JMU to the MAC with them all sports wise. Then Army and Navy join for football. The MAC then adds VCU and URI for basketball. It's angling to be competitive just under the power 4/5 and the Big East.

8) Fordham, STJ and Duq join the MAAC.

9) The SEC adds WVU. Now we will all get to see how a GOR both Fox and ESPN have a piece of gets handled.

10) Houston or Memphis are the filler #10 for the b12 to continue its payout at a minimum number of teams. It doesn't matter though, Texas and Ok have had enough. Time to go fishing.

Things go quiet until early 2020s when contracts are up and it's time to kil the B12, get the PAC and SEC at atleast 16 and also expand the MWC. CUSA and the American basically become the same thing and merge.

Oh i agree. As an NIU fan i think they fill in the gap for whoever leaves the AAC. My guess is UCONN leaves and NIU joins.

UAB gets kicked out of CUSA. CUSA does not expand. By then conference championship game deregulation will occur and there will be no need to go to 14. Eventually they will have 12 schools.

The majority votes against CCGs. PAC 12, Big 10 and SEC will punish ACC and Big 12 on this issue. Why give the other 2 conferences an easy entry into the playoff when SEC could at times put 2 teams into the playoffs.

There is a school in Maine that goes by that name, and they will be adding football in a few years.

My prediction:

BYU announces the building of new "on-campus" stadia in Illinois (Nauvoo), New York (Palmyra), and Florida (somewhere on the LDS Church's cattle acreage) and a 2027 regular season schedule entirely comprised of "home" games.

Fast Forward to 2027 - despite Coach Detmer's amazing 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes, BYU still finishes the post-season at 8-5, increasing its NCAA record of consecutive 8-5 finishes to fifteen.

NY annexes CT and immediately renames UConn to SUNY-Storrs

Campus is overrun by kids from Long Island and Westchester...new bridge built over LI Sound. 04-cheers

SUNY-Storrs hires Dr. Gross creates new original motto:

SUNY-Storrs joins the SUNYAC

"SUNY-Storrs NY's College Team" and plasters it on cabs in Bridgeport and New London and gets a billboard at the new AAA Baseball team in Hartford.

RE: Predict the next shift in CR
Northern California temporarily breaks away from the Union - pending the Senate debate on the Anti-Bovine & Poultry Slavery and Genocide bill - and annexes northwestern Oregon, western Washington, and Boulder.

Larry Scott pulls a miracle to obtain player and coach visas so that the PAC 12 cross-division schedule can continue as planned. The PAC 12 football championship venue is temporarily moved to Las Vegas, pending the state department's opinion on whether to stage the game at Levi Stadium is an act of treason.

Meanwhile, frustrated with President Clinton's delays, Idaho and Texas unilaterally declare war on Northern California. As a move of political solidarity, the Big 12 invites Boise St. for full membership.

Wow, I am not only impressed that somebody thinks Drake University is worthy of the Big East, but I am just impressed you know where Drake University even is. I tip my hat to you, OP.

Then wow, another guy brings up Nauvoo IL and mind is officially blown. you guys really know your history, I have to admit.

wow, I love the mention of Nauvoo IL, at one time the biggest city in ILL with a population of 100,000 Mormons before they moved to Utah.

I actually grew up in a town about 15 miles from Nauvoo, but I was on the Iowa side of the river. Nauvoo was pretty much abandoned when I was a kid, where it was just a small town around 500 people.

Every year the May flies would crawl out of the ground near the Mississippi and invade Fort Madison, Iowa, mate and then die. Only in Iowa we still call them Mormon Flies instead of May Flies.

The B1G and SEC both have 14 teams and could benefit from CCG deregulation. With 3-5-5 scheduling they could each have 3 permanent partners and rotate 5 games around the remaining schools. Or... keep divisions and not play everyone in your division every year. That would allow 2 teams in your division to be able to go undefeated. The undefeated left out of the SECCG would be guaranteed a CFP bid. Those are just 2 example of how it would benefit the SEC and B1G. I think it's going to pass without much opposition. At most they'll require 12 teams for a championship game and deregulate the rest.
