than a lot of coaches would. Same reason Joe Foley can win without 5 star recruits. The system doesn't require a lot of super stars to win. Good solid fundamental players, working as a team, can overcome a certain amount of talent disparity. You need a shooter or two, some rebounders, and strong defense. I don't know if Bo Ryan runs a motion offense, but he runs a disciplined offense, and that will win a lot of games. Chasse hired the right man for this job. I just hope we can keep him for awhile. It took Joe a few years to really get rolling. I suspect the same will hold true for Coach Beard. But in the meantime, it will be fun watching our men run a motion offense.

Big difference is Foley practically had nothing when he came here. Can't name any of his first group. Maybe Love was here the first year. I know he recruited her, but can't remember if had her the first year. Beard has some pretty good talent if White comes back and he doesn't lose anyone else. I wonder if he's going to cut anyone loose. It's getting to the point that if he is, they need to know. And if there are any, I suspect they do know by now. I assume he watched a lot of game tape of all the returnees, and knows who he thinks can play for him and who can't.
