I don't think it would harm UCLA basketball in anyway to play us. I understand why Indiana, Kentucky, and OSU don't want to play us. But how often are UC and UCLA after the same recruit?

Our basketball program is in a tough spot for the top brands though because a school like UCLA can probably handpick anyone if they're offering H+H for basketball and we're probably a step above taking anything less than that.

I don't think it would necessarily harm them to play us. But if you're UCLA you can choose almost any opponent you want. Teams like St. John's, NC State, or Illinois would jump at the chance to play a home-and-home with UCLA, so "getting" to play UC in basketball wouldn't sweeten the deal one iota for UCLA.
