Israeli proxy attacks on US soil
This story comes from the front pages of the Wall Street Journal, not the New York Times. But.....

Teva Pharmaceuticals, an Israeli company that is the world's largest generic drug manufacturer (full disclosure, I own Teva stock), has initiated a hostile takeover bid ($40 billion) for Mylan Pharmaceuticals of Pennsylvania. Teva's actions are seen as partly in response to Mylan's hostile bid for Perrigo ($29 billion) of Ireland.

Of the many hurdles this action may take, it would be interesting if the US government enters the fray and attempts to block the takeover based upon some fabricated national security or human rights nonsense. (Think Dubai World Ports or Unocal.)

On the other hand, and as I posted elsewhere, the NYTimes has reported that after a handsome contribution to the Clinton Foundation, Hill's State Department did not stand in the way of Russia's acquisition of a Canadian miner that holds vast rights to uranium in the USA.

Stay tuned.
