Out of curiousity, does UCF play any sports in other conferences like UConn does?

Not at the highest levels that I know of. We do have a good hockey team and we used to have a good wrestling program but that has become a club team.

Officially the Uconn womens field hockey team has won the past 2 national titles for that sport.. out of the Big East :)

LOL, I did mean it tongue in cheek, but not in a malicious way. I was just joking around.

And I agree, there's absolutely no shame in having a great women's program. Whenever UH was good in softball and they were deep in Regionals, I was glued to the TV. If we had 9 AAC Championships (7 being women), I would still tout that stat proudly.

Not being testy at all, however I think UCF is known more for its football championships than its woman's athletic programs. I do agree that there is nothing wrong with " having a great women's athletic program,"and am proud of their success as well. Well played Kronke, good golly Kruciff a little good natured back and forth between conference brethren is healthy and certainly not "testy."

Nicely done. That is one of UC's weaknesses is our Olympic sports. They were underfunded and ignored for too many years and it bit the university. It looks like the new regime is finally righting the ship.

SMU could be in the women's national softball championship and i would rather go watch paint dry. Why would anyone watch that?
