Northern Illinois Season Tickets 2015
As I mentioned in my welcome post, my son will be a frosh at NIU and I am seriously thinking about getting season tickets for all the home games. How much is the cost and will my son get into all football games for free just by swiping his onecard?

He can get into the East stands for Free, likely by just swiping his OneCard. He likely will not be able to get into the West stands using the same method.

You can purchase season tickets for yourself and any others for the East side at $122ea HOWEVER the entire East side is General Admission so you will not have a reserved seat like you would on the West side. On the flip side if you show up 45min before kickoff you could easily have a front row seat outside the 25yard line and show up 60min before kickoff and you could have front row on the 50...though just realize that crowd is mostly rowdy students and alums that stand just about the whole game. There is a unofficial family section on the East side that is just to the South of the Huskie Marching Band. If it were not for me bringing my 3 small kids to the games I would sit on the East side as its a more energetic atmosphere than the West side though it is exhausting, in a fun way.

Also the bathrooms and concession food options are better on the East side than the West side.

See pg 2 for the different season tickets options.

Your son will get in free because you will pay a required $500 (plus or minus a couple of bucks) NCAA Athletic Fee that allows free admission to NIU football and basketball games.

Yes we all understand there is a fee if you are a student that goes towards athletics...why do you keep bringing it up?
