He looks like he could be a space eater in the 3-4.

Was my first thought as well. Could be a good NT type, has a decent pass rush also.

The AAC is being exposed in bowl games. Many of us have thought they were near P 5 status. The conferences bowl performance would suggest otherwise. SMU losing to an FCS school also does not help the perception of the conference either.

This happens every bowl season (and in the NCAA tournament) where a conference is "exposed" as being weaker than most experts thought. It was the Big Ten several seasons ago and the ACC this season until Louisville's win last night. So much is dependent on the matchup, coaching changes, etc. and very cyclical. Its early but Houston is holding its own against FSU. In terms of G5, AAC is certainly on the top of the list. How close are they to P5, that is certainly debatable. But I would bet that every G5 school would kill to join the AAC, with the exception of the MWC schools, but that is in part due to geography.

Yeah I saw that AAC is only 1-5 in Bowls, with Navy's being the lone win. Military Bowl (1 of only 3 bowl games I've watched) Navy beat Pitt 44-28. Pitt was bigger, faster, and completely befuddled against Navy's Triple Option. Navy absolutely schooled them. 590 total yards, 417 rushing. Held the ball for over 42 minutes...

RE: 2016 football commits
I think people pay attention to conference record in bowls a little too much. By the time bowls occur, it is weeks since they last played, coaches have often left to coach other teams, and these bowls tend to have completely different atmospheres than players are used to. Fans of conferences especially like to pay attention to this and I've seen Sun Belt fans puffing their chest about it the past few years. It makes for somewhat interesting discussion but I don't think it is that relevant to how good a conference actually was during the regular season.
