I filled out my survey and I did write in Ricefootball.net since I read it during the football season.

BTW, I learned today that the University (and not a big donor) is financing the soon-to-be-revealed new track and soccer facility. And as has already been disclosed, the University chipped in the final $1.0MM toward the EZF project.

Bottomline-- the University is starting to really step up in support of Rice athletics (amazing what the development of a vision and strategic plan can do!!!). It's time for us to step up, as well.

If only we had realized this about 6 or 8 athletic directors ago, the last 40 years could have been very different for Rice athletics.

Today's times are so different than even 20 years ago. There's such a sense of urgency now. Rice has finally felt it and is responding to it. Better late than never. All in or all out.

I just completed my survey. It was good. I hope they aren't thinking about replacing the OE "R" with the owl logo. Maybe they'll find a way to incorporate both of them. I talked up The Roost and gave some ideas about how to make it better. I'm glad they wanted our input.
