How Old Dominion are you?
Here's a little something to fill the slow time on the board. My 14 year old daughter knows how big of a fan I am. She thinks my ODAF sticker stands for "Old Dominion as F&#@!" I don't plan to tell her otherwise! Maybe changing from Big Blue Club does have it's upside.
Go Monarchs!!

I get asked a lot what FTW ODU stands for. 'For The Win' not 'F!@# The World'. Clearly I am to heavy into my online gaming as FTW stands for 'For The Win' in online gaming.

I always thought FTW stood for "For The Win," when did it become "F The World?"

RE: How Old Dominion are you?
I always wear my colors on the road. Now that I live "on the road" (1000 miles from Norfolk), I wear my colors all the time. I love it when I walk by someone and I see their eyes looking down at my shirt. It means I just educated another person. The imaginary bell goes off. Every once in a while, someone will comment saying they were in the Navy in Norfolk, or they saw Trey's shot on ESPN, etc. I'm helping grow the brand a little at a time.

On a 10-point scale, I probably rank a 2.

But I did at least wear an ODU t-shirt to the afternoon bbq at an alumni reunion that I attended this weekend for a different school.

I'm so ODU, I was a part of the first freshman class to take the NewPAGE course. Our lecture classes were the largest to ever grace the campus @ 2000+ students every Tues morning inside of the Ted. A few of us called it the "c-word" and concluded each class with "See you next Tuesday". Last I heard, it disbanded a few years afterwards.

I don't know if I should be proud of this or embarrassed, but I was the oldest Alum in the audience at the ODU open house on the 11th with my son. He is a Jr. in HS and is considering attending ODU.

Class of 1983 baby! 02-13-banana

They awarded me with a jar of mints. I guess us old folks generally have bad breath...

I hated that stupid NewPage class. Let's make every freshman have to get to the Ted by 9 in your designated section to sit through a horrible class. I'm glad they canceled it.

Back when I was a student and tour guide, I'd always have parents of future students asking about Friar Tucks, The Rathskeller(sp?), and The 4400 Club. I'd never heard of any of those places, but quickly found out from the parents of the groups.

It was terrible! I went to sleep in every class. One day we had a Canadian guy there talking to us about deer antlers or something.

There's a chance I was conceived at one of the Hampton Boulevard bars.
