I don't want anything in particular. I was just pointing out that you were arguing a point he didn't try to make.

So far we have his friends who have spoken personally with Floyd (and we assume Floyd would be in the know for such things), and I assume by your comments that you have Ruff's ear. If that's the case, then we'll go with your inside knowledge.04-cheers

Have talked with Coach Ruff, Nick, and AD Jeff Compher. Spoke to JC tonight at the ECU/NC State game. We have talked with USM, right now (the next few years) no opening for games match up for what both need. We need home games when they need home games. So right now, no nothing is happening. The schedule don't match for the series to be restarted, which is a shame, ECU and USM have a long history, and share a very similar history as schools.

Thanks ecu. Scheduling football games is no easy matter and rarely one that is done off-the-cuff, which is why I always laugh at those from one conference claiming that their teams had to play the better teams of the other. Who the heck ever knows that far in advance who's going to be good and who's going to suck?

one can at the minimum assume it would be in the best short term interest to get that party started again....

I for one, would love to see a UL/ECU/Tulane/MEM, h/h scheduling as a beginning goal for southern miss OOC...minimum of two every year....three as the ideal...

obviously UL is the one reach, but the fans (IMO) from those four would enjoy the experience on both sides.....

Is think y'all could at least get a 2-1 with UL, an ACC team in the rock for a 2-1 seems doable. The other 3 in a 1-1 I would think would be easy to schedule now with your past few reasons. Sign em up and put a big fat buyout on it so you have guarantee Ws or $$$.

that's pretty much what I would foresee regarding UL.....the oddball year would most likely yield an inner-state swac home game.....as the 4th fill for that year (or a whore game)

IMO, it's our best shot at long term ooc scheduling strategy.....doesn't have to be those teams.....having a core group that we have history with seems to be a pretty simple starting point regarding future scheduling....

Most definitely. Unfortunately for Tech, G5s we have a history with are at least one time zone to the west or in the Belch. Scheduling as a G5 isn't easy unless you are in fertile recruiting ground ADs are buddies or the world leader dangles a primetime game in front of the elite5.
