The only thing the Cajuns focus on and are interested in is winning the game and not being cheerleaders in the dugout. They are ranked No.9 and have a RPI of 7 for a reason. So I wouldn't take it personal, but be thanful if they weren't interested in the game.
They are all really good respectful girls. If they weren't interested in the game, they wouldn't have hit the ball so well. So don't take your frustration out on them. Maybe y'all will kick their ass 1 day, as you put it, maybe tomorrow, who knows.
Michael Lotief, their head coach, has been seriously ill and doesn't get to go to their away games which they take very hard.
Cajun softball has had a rich tradition and the respect of being a top team in the Nation. Cajun Softball has been around since the 80s before most P5 schools had teams. Now that most schools have a team, the Cajuns have managed to still have a top team, even with LSU 50 miles away.
They have a passionate fan base and the atmosphere at a Cajun softball game is amazing With at least 1,800 loud fans at each game.
Believe me, they weren't being cocky but the coach teaches them to stay focused no matter what the score is because they know if they aren't they will lose. We have 3 conference loses.
BTW, The Cajun Softball team is among the most successful of all Ragin' Cajun teams, having won nine regular season championships, nine conference tournament championships, and six appearances in the_Women's College World Series_(1993, 1995, 1996, 2003, 2008, and 2014).
During the 2008 WCWS appearance the Ragin' Cajuns defeated #1 ranked Florida and eventually finished fifth. The Ragin' Cajun softball team has seen post-season play in 24 of the past 25 seasons.
The Ragin' Cajuns have been Sun Belt Conference champions in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2014 along with 15 NCAA Regionals, 33 All-Americans, 24 consecutive winning seasons
