RE: # 25 Seahawks @ Hofstra
Hofstra took a 2-0 lead but Thorburn just hit a solo HR. 2-1, bottom 5th.

Good job Hawks! Coach must really be in a zone when it comes to moves in-game. In the 8th he pinch hits for a guy (Thorburn) who was 2 for three with a homer. What happens? Pinch hitter (Canada) promptly doubles in a run. I guess that is part of knowing your players. We need to bring out the brooms tomorrow!

That may have been a righty-lefty deal. Plus Thorburn has struggled a bit defensively at times. I think the main thing is that players buy into Scalf's system. When that happens everything else becomes easy.

True about the righty/lefty strategy. That's sometimes difficult to pick up on w/livestats. But still a move that shows confidence in your bench players. At any rate, good move - good game. Go Hawks!

What I've noticed time after time, is we seem to never panic when we get behind(which we do too much). We buckle down, score some runs, stop giving up runs, and take em' in the last three innings. Seems like no lead is safe against these Hawks'!

More credit needs to be given to our bull pen. They continue to come in and shutdown our opponent, giving our offense the chance to overtake a lead. I would prefer us taking more early leads. But we have been able to recover time and again. Haven't seen this since the Chris Hatcher days.

3-3 score in the top of the 7th. Roberson responsible for all 3 runs on 3 hits after pitching a solid 5.1 innings. Linkous, Dunlap and McDowell all with RBI's.

Shields-Golden-Stupiensky due up for the Hawks this inning.

RE: # 25 Seahawks @ Hofstra
Dunlap knocked a 1-out single, but Connelly grounded into an inning-ending double play. Hofstra coming up in the Bottom of the 8th, score still tied 3-3.
