Got to love how they try to justify their actions by saying that now people are coming out of the woodwork supporting UAB when they didn't before. You know what? That's what happens when you do something deceptive and corrupt. People take notice.

If the BOT or Tuscaloosa News thinks the issue is going to die, they need to think again. The longer this goes on and the deeper we get down this rabbit hole, the worse it's going to be for the BOT in the end.

Even if the NCAA doesn't do the research themselves, if this goes further and others show there is the level of corruption and lack of institutional control that we all know there is, their precious idol of football could face major sanctions by the NCAA. As much as they want to protect their big money makers like UA, I don't think the Ohio State, Texas, etc schools are going to allow the NCAA to act with ineptitude.

They'll allow them to be inept. What they won't allow is having sanctions on them and not on Alabama.

The college play offs this year proved what a sham the BCS rankings were. In other words, the $EC schools like Bama are going to start seeing their stocks plummet when people realize they only look good because they only play each other and schedule cupcake games for easy wins.

And when they must play a decent opponent (pick on someone their own size, so to speak) for TV purposes, they always meet on neutral fields in Dallas, Atlanta or such.
