Well, that is interesting.

Has JW gotten 4 years of paid for school?

If so, I think we are good on our end.

Now here is White who has given us 4 years of his heart and soul and you are talking about pulling all support academically just because he does not want to play his 5th year. Isn't that a little hypocritical?

No, not hypocritical. Just the way it is. Sure we want our kids to graduate and will honor that so long as they are part of the program or beyond if they have completed their eligibility. But really, why should we pay for additional school beyond the year in which he last played for us just so he can transfer to another university to play? He does want to play his 5th year, just not for us, so our obligation is over.

RE: How much time does Coach Beard
Anyone know why James White does not want to finish his college BB career here, and where he plans to go next season? It does seem a bit ungrateful. After all, I don't recall that he was highly recruited when he signed with the Trojans. He was supported well and will leave here with a degree and probably debt free. Seems to me that's a lot to be thankful for.

I don't mind if it is just summer school and he has shown that he has been doing good in class when there is a situation where there is a coaching change. That is if the money is available but I do agree that he should not be provided a tutor or other support.

Re: How much time does Coach Beard
We provided him 4 years of education and he played a little more than 2 years. Ungrateful seems to fit quite well. But he does not really owe the new coach anything.

RE: How much time does Coach Beard
If we only lose one player then Coach Beard is a heck of a recruiter.
