Pastner Recruiting ranked 10th....with more to come
247 Sports has Pastner's class ranked 10th with likely 2 more to come.

325 D-1 teams. 10 divided by 325? That's the top 3% of all college basketball now with 2-3 more players to come.

Won 75% of games played. Been to the NCAA 4 of the 5 years for which he's accountable. Turned down USC last year and has been sniped by a contingent of Tiger "fans"...which, incidentally, includes NOT ONE major donor/supporter/person of influence with the program.

There are 2 ends of a telescope.

That contingent persistently and cluelessly looks through the wrong end.

Thank goodness for the recruits (the ones that stay)...we've all seen what happens when he doesn't land talent.

Well it isn't the facts known that are at issue: it's the interpretation of facts that puts them at the wrong end of the telescope

So which is the greater measure?

1. What you do in March OR
2. What you do in April - September

RE: Pastner Recruiting ranked 10th....with more to come
Well over the past 6 years, he has made it to the round of 32 what, maybe twice with better or equal classes? so let me see if my math is correct. 10 divided by 325 puts us inthe top 3% of all of college basketball. With your logic we should end in the round of 32 at the very least which is equivalent to what we ended in the best years, perhaps even the last of those top 32 teams. thats is debatable.

not much in terms of progresss. Ummm recruiting rankings does not equate to final basketball poll ranking or where your team finishes.

I would much rather see CJP inthe top 3% of coaches instead. not a knock, but just an observation.

you can point to CJP records and numbers, but when he gets out of the round of 32 with anything but a blowout loss, those numbers dont mean much in terms of validation.

Guess its looking through a telescope from outer space............

Yes, I'm so excited at what next seasons Josh Pastner led team will accomplish with this influx of talent & returning talent. I'm sure we'll soar to knew heights. Maybe we'll only get beat by 10 in the 2nd round. That'll be a huge success worth giving CJP an extension and raise that keeps him here through 2030. Then the blue print for killing tiger basketball will be complete.

If that's the case, we'll have a new coach. Thanks for the good news.

Now other coaches will say "they have good players, run good stuff, and have a HOF coach"...right?

Haha the truth? U beat up teams with far less talent in C-USA and that's supposed to be some huge accomishment. What's the record against the top 25 again? Yeah just leave that one out doesn't fit the narrative but hell beating Rice and Houston those are some big wins. U keep feeding the truth to the sheep. Blind leading the blind. smh
