Seeking Advice From Louisville Fans
Hey guys...I'm bringing in a group of about 75 Cuse fans for the FB game in early November. A possibility we might get larger to around 100. You have any leads on a place I can prearrange parking with? I'm looking for a lot that will let me prebuy spots for our tailgate. Does Holy Name Catholic or the Boy Scout Lots do that?

If not, would going to KEC be my best bet? We have fans driving in at different times so I would need a cash lot they can get in and find us. Which lot do you recommend? I expect we would set up about 4-5 hours prior to kickoff. Lot G or F fill up quickly?

RE: Seeking Advice From Louisville Fans
Call this number after the 1st Saturday in May: 502-636-4400

This is the number for Churchill Downs Customer Services. They have a lot at the corner of 3rd & Central. Miami coordinated all their parking for that lot through Churchill Downs. You may be able to pay in advance and have the lot reserved for Orange fans that travel down. It was pretty awesome having all the Miami fans together.

I believe I sent you my number in a PM. If not send me a PM and I'll send my number. Let me know what you need and I will try to help you out.

BTW your map is not the best one. This is a better one.

I'm getting in on Thursday late morning...either Thursday or Friday should work. Maybe we could meet at a sports bar and watch the Thurs or Friday night game on ESPN. Meeting at the track might work too...

That would be great. I didn't have a lot of luck with some of the private lots in the area Many said They are open for business during those hours, others are first come first serve and usually have regulars. Didn't know the downs reserved spots though.

I sent Churchill Downs an email...we'll see if we have any luck. It would be awesome to get that location...much closer than KEC.

RE: Seeking Advice From Louisville Fans
Mark,
The Miami fans reserved that lot (the grass lot) from someone. I know the Miami I spoke with said Churchill Downs. We have our spring game tonight and I will be tailgating in the paved lot you sent the pic of. I will see who is parking cars there tonight and let you know. Worse case, after the 1st home game in September, I will get you the contact info.

Why did you stop?

Honey Brown is a delicious beer made by Genesee. Rep points for you for drinking Genny. Now you just need to decide on Zweigles Hots. Im seriously thinking about making it down there for the game.

We have friends from upstate NY who go home before Thanksgiving each year & bring back cases of Genny Cream Ale & Genny Red Eyes. Love drinking those while a whole crew of folks play flag football on T'giving Day!

Not easy to get here. Family from Rochester and Geneva used to bring it down. They are getting up in years now and don't travel down as much. You need to plan on being here in November.

RE: Seeking Advice From Louisville Fans
Cuseroc...call me tonight or this weekend. I have a great motel set up with a VG rate. Louisville is about 9-10 hours by car from Rahchester...the leaves will at peak or just past peak in KY.

It is actually cheaper to rent a car using a weekend rate and return by Monday evening.

I'll have you bring the coneys...and the Genny. Not too much beer...a beer rep is coming in our group and I'm 95% sure we will have free product to share among Cardinal Jim's and our group.

I love Genesee 12 Horse Ale too...Lucy I plan to be back at Wake Forest in '16. Love to come by and say hello...I expect we'll park in the lot near the Hoops Arena and next to the Parking Entrance Veranda and the underground walkway.
