Bowling Green is expected -- barring 11th-hour breakdown -- to hire Miami assistant and ex-BG star Michael Huger, sources told ESPN.

RE: BGSU ready to make basketball hire
Junior to be JD Tisdale joins soph Zach Denny and seniors Spencer Parker, Delvin Dickerson and Chauncey Orr as the latest BG player to announce he is transferring out of the program. According to Verbal Commits BG has 5 scholarship players returning next year-

3- Seniors
0- Juniors
2- Sophomores

BG also has LOIs from 2 true freshmen but a 3rd commit, a JUCO, just asked for a release. That leaves 6 scholarships unfilled for next year. Question for BG fans- was this amount of turnover expected or a surprise?

And where are these kids going?

Did any average say 8 - 10 ppg for 2014/15 season?

It is okay to transfer (or quit a job) if you have something lined up to go to... 03-idea

Raven Lee, EMU SG, probably averaged more PPG then the returning BG players.

Never seen a case where the leading returning scorer was < 5 ppg.

You sure? Parker appears back in the fold and I've heard nada about Denny who already redshirted I believe. Parker has only 1 year of eligibility: would have to go to small school or sit a year then play 1.

Verbalcommits.com shows both Parker and Denny as BGSU outgoing transfers.

Along with Verbal Commits Parker's transfer is listed by ESPN here-
http://espn.go.com/blog/jeff-goodman/ins...nsfer-list

Parker's transfer is mentioned on BG's message board here-
http://www.ay-ziggy-zoomba.com/phpBB3/vi...=2&t=32933

that's 3 sources.

RE: BGSU ready to make basketball hire
A closer reading of AZZ shows that he met with Huger and is likely staying. Obviously, AZZ is not a great source either way but if you use it as one to say he's leaving you should give equal weight to other, more recent, posts that say he's not.

An article in the Blade with a quote from Parker indicating he's staying seems to lend reasonable doubt, no? I'm not saying yea or nay, just asking how you know. And truth is- we don't.

Per a tweet from the sports editor at the local BG paper, BGSU has not confirmed any players as asking for a release.

So it would be wise to just wait and see before making so many assumptions.

Thanks.

And, I see that VerbalCommits.com still has Tony Anderson listed as a Toledo verbal, which is incorrect. I'm sure it's not easy keeping up with all of these players and their changing minds, but I guess it just reinforces that many (all) of these web sites are only as good as their source of information...

Apparently nothing since you made no mention anywhere about Austin leaving.

But I'm glad to know that the twitter feed 'Texas Basketball News' is above reproach! 03-lmfao

Seriously though...just wait for official word from the school...thanks.

I am simply sharing information that has been made public by professionals who cover college basketball and regularly share this type of information as part of their jobs, I make no guarantee of the accuracy of their claims, only that the claims have been made.

I was aware of Austin's transfer but I did not mention it because I could not find a valid news source to verify the rumors. In other words, I did the opposite of what you're trying to accuse me of, but nice try. 03-shhhh
