Fun Fact: Vermont has 0 NFL players.
I have heard that. They may not produce as many D1 athletes as say Florida etc, but what they do are top notch. There are a few states like (I believe NJ) that were kinda surprising.

St Charles Parish benefits from being connected to like 4 major highways

Too bad the NFL poaches them from LSU right as we develop them. Lost 18 players early to the NFL draft going into the 2013 and 2014 seasons (by comparison, the rest of the SEC West lost 17 combined). And many of them are kicking ass in the NFL, too. I'm happy to see them doing well there, but we sure could have used them in close games with the scourge against humanity, Nick Saban.
UCF got two kids from Louisiana in the last class. I have high expectations for Brandon Scott and think Brendon Hayes could be a sleeper pick. 247 was high on the kid, rating him much higher than the other recruiting services.

There's a really nice high school stadium just across the Hudson River a couple miles out of Manhattan in NJ.

RE: SOT: Louisiana produces more NFL players, per capita, than anywhere else in the world
Everyone in Louisiana - and college football - already knew this. Louisiana is to football what Kuwait is to oil: The only reason we aren't Florida or Georgia or California (i.e., Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and Iran) is our overall size. But square foot per square foot, we churn out the talent.
One reason Nick Saban has been so successful at Alabama is that his time as LSU coach created a lot of networks with Louisiana high schools, and that has enabled him to raid Louisiana for 5-star talent.
