When this is over, I think everyone will understand that Wes Smith and Brian Mackin have represented this University with honor and integrity, and have taken the high road in every instance.

I know everyone wanted bombs thrown and names named, but as things are coming more into focus, I believe everyone will see they have displayed steady leadership in a very difficult situation, and even in the face of criticism from their own people.

We owe them both our gratitude.

Well said, Wes! You just raised your stature in my view as an honorable man who is representing his constituency ( UAB alumni ) better than I had previously believed.
