Crank it up
The highest my van's dbl level got was about 144, but I was going for sound quality over volume, and it was more than 20 years ago. These are louder, mine sounded better.
It's even louder than you think

And somehow I can still hear. The cool part was watching my windshield ripple like laundry on a clothesline when there's a breeze.

I've done psychedelics that have the same effect.

loudness is killing the sonic quality of the music industry. no dynamics, no midrange. crank it and compress the hell out of it is today's mastering mantra.

Damn, somebody who knows what they're talking about. Yep, you are correct sir. It's why so much vinyl is again being pressed, although that can't do much when the recording itself sucks.
I posted the Crank It Up thread because I used to judge these contests for a living, but the ones like this one, with nothing but sound pressure, sucked. I was an accredited IASCA judge and actually did the finals in Tempe one year. Sound pressure earned 0 points in those contests.
