6-9 Lacey James from Michigan is headed to a DII school in Nebraska. At some point he had a UT offer. Was a U Detroit commit. Another player with a heart problem, but was cleared by the Mayo Clinic. First team all-state. Top 10 in Mr Basketball voting. Nice player.

There are still bigs out there.

6'9". First team all-state. Previously offered by UT and originally headed to Detroit. Now headed to a DII school. Something is odd if we didn't get back on his recruiting trail. Seems like we could learn something from the Moss situation, no? And we could use a big with some talent, which he appears to have.

I don't know where you got this info, but he is still un-signed and just received an offer from Cleveland St.

You do realize that is a retweet of his friend committing to a D2 school. LJ is still out there, but with UT's issue with his health even though being cleared by the Mayo Clinic. UT won't offer him.

well, kansas st just signed a 6-9 pf so that supposed offer to anderson may well now be off the table. some kids get opportunities playing the field but some just play themselves and end up at a jc or school that wasn't as good as a previous offer.

It's similar and it's different from the QB that went to Wake. This kid reneged barely two weeks after his "careful" decision. I'm not sure how to think about this.

RE: Anderson Decommits
i really don't know but i think he got some late feelers from big name programs seeing if he was solid to UT. they want to cover their bases and offer or act like they are about to offer a few kids for each spot they have. that way they can make sure to sign a decent player. because they are high profile programs some kids will hold out for them, even if it means losing an opportunity for a mid major type situation that is a good fit for their talent and schooling.

anderson is clearly a kid who has trouble settling down and having long term focus. that's not bad, lots of teenagers are like that. however, kids who are good but not great talents likely benefit by settling in and growing into themselves and their game. then again, it's not like coaches and the ncaa are routinely setting an example of stability and dedication.

Well, as long as Navigato actually signs his LOI, then I think we certainly ended up in better shape after his de-commit than Anderson did.

RE: Anderson Decommits
could have been a mutual parting on UT and his side. Or kid may have been being slow played by bigger program and closed out when another higher ranked player took the spot.

yeah, it sure felt like he was getting gamed by by huggins and a couple of the big schools that he thought wanted him. honestly, i don't think anderson is the brightest bulb in the shop. a lot of his actions and statements tweeted and published didn't really make sense.
