RE: UTA adding Women's Golf
I understand that she is a highly capable lady and excellent speaker. Why wouldn't the university want the participation of smart, capable billionaires on campus?

The question was strange.

Savvy move by the university.

Strange in what way? Neither of them have any sort of connection to the U. Senora Jones has no public face in the metroplex. I don't see how that is odd to wonder what her role is.

There is no such thing as a "strange" question. Individuals working surreptitiously from within provide "strange" answers.

With your stated logic, you've presented many false answers:

Highly capable: UTA has none
Lady: UTA has none
Excellent speaker: UTA has none
Smart participant: UTA has none
Capable billionaires: UTA has none

Charlotte Jones Anderson is not a billionaire, just Jerry.

UTA speaker series is a knowledge-sharing engagement, a community-building forum and the most successful public relations arm of the university. Wealth is not a prerequisite for speakers' and moderators' selection. However, if the intended goal was to develop relationship with business communities and leverage the financial connections UTA already has, then your response would be strangely correct and obvious.

The Jones family donated millions to Salvation Army and built a community center on or on the edge of UTA.
