November Basketball Tournament in CT
Anyone thinking of going to the Naismith Hall of Fame Tourney at the Mohegan Sun Casino Nov 21-22 checkout JetBlue rates. We just booked for $52 on Fri Nov 20 and $42 for the return on Monday Nov 23. There's some seats left if anyone's interested. Made our decision to go a bit easier! We play Purdue on Sat and then either Florida or St Joe's. The fight is out of RIC bit worth the four day parking charge!

Think I'm going to do a road trip to Hatiesburg for the Southern Miss football game that weekend. Only a 6-7 hour drive from the Nashville area.

Is that flight to Boston?

Mohegan Sun is about 100 miles southwest of Boston, so almost a 2 hour drive depending on traffic. New York is about the same. (again, pending traffic)
Hartford or Providence are closer, but you would likely need a connection unless flying out of one of the DC airports.

I'll be in CT for the games but driving up Saturday morning and back Sunday night. It's a 3 hour drive for me.

Yes BOS. Providence and Hartford are closer, both about a 45 min to 1 hr drive. But, the cost is at least triple. I was going to wait for Southwest to announce the cost of flights for Nov (mid-May) but the way SW prices have gone up since they were allowed to merge with AirTran I figured they'd never be $42/$52.

where are people staying up there? Mohegan Sun won't allow booking in November. Holiday Inn-Norwich and CY Marriott are pretty expensive.

I have family up in that area. There are hotels all over the place. Mystic is close as well as East Lyme. You could even stay in Southern RI and only have a 15-20 minute drive to the game.

OK, I'll start looking at those areas.

The Best Western Cristela Inn and the Hyatt Place are in Uncasville with good reviews in the $90-120 range. Free breakfast, WiFi and shuttle to the casino/BB games. We booked the Hyatt Place.

Man, we finally go to a tournament that I could reasonably go to and I will have a 3-week old child. Guess I will hope for TV coverage. 03-weeping
