Hard to tell from today how we'll fare next year but it definitely seemed that our size had improved. Also great to see TH back on campus. What a class act he is. I wish him nothing but the best.
Yes he is. I got there at 11:30 and had brought a mini-helmet for him to sign. He was very gracious with everyone, getting up to pose with most of us for photos after he had signed. I am glad I had them opportunity to thank him and wish him luck face-to-face.
Good to see ya again in line. After you left my son got to meet him and when he stood on the table it turned into a media frenzy of cell phone photos like a political photo op with a baby for TH. It was pretty funny. But very gracious and polite. 3 years ago I would have said he wasn't much bigger than me now not so much. He's been putting in work and it shows. He's a great representative of the school.
It was good to see you again. You have a great little boy there; I'm sorry I missed that photo op. We're you able to see any of the game?

Thanks! Sadly no. He made it to right about 255. The full on meltdown ensued. So close. I saw lawry score the td on first play or so as we walked out. Which is funny you can see my wife pushing the stroller put of the building as I'm carrying him freaking out in the background on news video clip. 9am to 3pm in the sun and no nap was just a bit too much for him.

21-32 for 242, 2 TDs, and one INT on a play where his arm was hit by defender. As a freshman against the first string defense.
And has the "body language" thing been explained?

RE: Spring game
SB is in the unenviable position of following TH. Almost anyone coming in is going to look a little shaky. SB will be just fine. He may have a steeper learning curve than TH, so I'm going to give him most, if not all, of this year before judging. If he's competitive this year and showing improvement toward the end of the season, I'll be very happy. Not sure he'll ever be a TH, but then again I don't think it's realistic to expect him to be. BW knows this and is going more to a ground game as a result. He'll be more han adequate in my opinion. LaRussa looks like he can throw the ball, but is clearly undersized.

Can't say I blame him. I was there because I REALLY wanted to see the Spring Game, but was more than ready to get home, after being there since 9:30. That is a long day in the sun. I have ended up getting a bit sunburned on my arms, especially the left one (facing the sun in the stands) both years and I work outside all day, every day. It is always faded the next morning, but doesn't help the discomfort of the long day.

Nope. I think he might have just been comparing his behavior to that of TH's....... It happens...

So what was his body language saying? Johnny Unitas wore 19 and had poor body language but in the game he could throw the ball.
I could be over analyzing his body language. Having watched Thomas DeMarco and Taylor Heinicke the last 6 seasons.
SB casual walks to the 45 yard line from the locker room. Most the team has already been on the field warming up. Once they line up he halfheartedly does his warm up stretches. When they split up in to groups QBs and WRs. He slowed the tempo down to the point Whitcomb had to step in and throw to the WRs. Lack of hustle during warm ups.

RE: Spring game
I did notice on the final two scoring drives for the blue team, they had the #1"Blue Team" in the game whereas the #1 "White Team' did not! I did notice that all 3 LB in Simpson, Williams & Ricks were on the sideline as well as Fellonte Misher & Devila. So did the absent of them made it easier for the Blue Team to score? Just a through.

In Heinicke's first year he faced the likes of Rhode Island, Villanova and William & Mary.
Bentley will square off with NC State, Marshall and <strike>La Tech</strike>.

Unless it is championship game. La Tech is not on the schedule.
However, the point is well made. We have a better running attack for SB than for TH, and we will need it.

The defense will the primary beneficiary of the enhaneced running arrack. SB will no doubt benefit as well.

Looks like McElroy is staying at ODU. That helps with QB depth.

This is good news. I remember a few years back W&M and Maryland had 4 or 5 starting QBs go down during their season.

I remember this year Ohio State lost 2. Sure would be nice to have 2 back ups like that.
