Men's and Women's Track & Field at Texas Invitational
Women's Track & Field will be at the Texas Invitational in Austin. It's a Saturday only meet.

1500 - Katie Jensen, Allie Schiach and Eleanor Wardlesworth will all compete in the fast section.

400 - Imani Mark will compete in section 2 (the faster of the two collegiate sections).

100 - Tyneisha McCoy will be in section 2. There will be some really fast sprinters in section 1.

800 - Freshman Elsa Racasan will be among 4 Owls in the one section final.

200 - Tyneisha McCoy will compete in section 3.

Discus - Ijeoma Ugwunze will be the only Owl.

Long Jump - Simone Martin will compete.

Triple Jump - Daisy Ding has won C-USA athlete of the week twice and will compete here, along with Cybil Obiozor.

High Jump - Daisy Ding and Belle MacFarlane give the Owls a really good 1-2 punch in this event.

RE: Women's Track & Field at Texas Invitational
Rice has other athletes competing, but I just listed the ones who should be among the top finishers in their respective events.

Running events start at 2:30.

There is not a large contingent of men at the meet, but here are the Owls competing:

800 - Harry Sagel will be in the fast section; William Roberts and David Diaz will be in section 2, with senior Zach Watterson in section 3.

Allie Schiach with 6th in the 1500 in 4:36.93. That time moves her to #10 on the C-USA list for this season.

Imani Mark runs 57.75 in the 400 meters - the 12th best time among collegiate runners. She has a better time this season (currently 9th in C-USA with 55.92).

FBO offered a couple of possible reasons when she competed unattached at the Texas Relays. Either could make sense.
