Per CUSA rules a team can only have 27 players eligible for CUSA weekend series, and ODU (the home team) used a 28th player. Teams can dress more than 27 but only 27 can be eligible for conference play.

Maybe they should only dress the players on the 27 man roster, so they don't have this issue again. 03-lmfao

Seriously. If I were Hibbs, I would count it on my next win. Take the forfeit, but as a personal accomplishment, promote it on the next one.

I agree but traditionally the home team dresses everyone out since it doesn't cost any more (hotel room and meal money). Since the 27 is for conference games only teams can dress everyone out for OOC games. My guess is the HC probably put #28 in as a pinch runner late in the game out of habit. But back to original statement, if only the 27 dress it's a non issue.
