Judging by your OOC schedule, the real reason is that your AD doesn't want to play anyone with a pulse.

You guys just scheduled Miami (oh) that went 0-12 in the MAC recently. Marshall needs to step up their game and at least schedule a Wofford or Elon. The committee raked Marshall over the coals for a terrible schedule.....looks like your AD isn't listening.

We play Purdue this year, Louisville and Pittsburgh next year and have 1 and 1s coming up with NC STATE, Navy, and ECU. Plus we are in the talks with 1 and 1 with UVA, VT, and Auburn plus a long term series with WVU.

Yes, so playing a team who was in 1AA 2 years ago and walks in an wins the worst FBS conference(even though you didn't play the top 2 teams) will surely help our perception
