I am sure it is all about money and getting corporate sponsors to fund it. We must have a few wealthy alumni of AAC schools to raise the money and sponsors to fund it.

TV only works if someone pays you for your content...find me a TV provider that would pay us for a channel that isn't back by ESPN,Fox,Turner,CBS,whoever...(which wouldn't even happen in a pipe dream at this stage in the game anyway).

If you find 'em let me know so I can ask them for some of what they're smoking. Oh and also find me an alumni of any university that would pledge money for a damn TV channel..once again may want some of their pot and I haven't touched the stuff since college

How about we start by just putting content on the digital network we already own. We have the #5 conference in baseball and don't show a single game. #OurDigitalNetworkIsAJoke

Do that and throw it up on Roku and Chromecast.

I think we actually already have an app for one of the major boxes. Maybe it's Roku. I dont remember which one.

EDIT-- Sounds like its Roku. Need one for apple, chrome cast, and XBox.

AAC should also have a Sirus XM channel to broadcast nationally key all sports events.

It is definitely Roku. The problem with the digital channel is that it serves to show highlights or reruns of a game (football, men's bb, women's bb). Essentially it shows games that were already broadcast on ESPN (and that we could have DVR'd). Where it fails is in giving us live content for sports that aren't "major revenue" sports that we can't see on cable/dish. I would think that having things like live baseball games on there would be what the whole point of the channel should have been in the first place, but what do I know?

I just can't get over the -48 rep. That has to be a record for a non-troll.

Roku has an AAC channel. The only live content I've seen carried is women's basketball. I'm not gonna watch that crap though.

The thing that gets me about the AAC Digital Network not showing baseball is that most all our schools already produce a feed of the their home games. How hard would it be to be to mirror a few feeds a week to give fans a taste of AAC baseball around the country? Amazingly ineffective use of what could be a fantastic tool.

Agree. I have to wonder if the conference office appreciates the quality, importance and potential of AAC baseball.

Looks like they'll air the baseball tournament live as far as I can tell.

http://www.theamerican.org/watch/?Archive=1067

Change sport to "baseball" and category to "live games" and it shows games scheduled for 3rd week of May.

Looks like they'll also air live tennis, rowing, softball and T&F.

Why not mirror those games to ESPN3?
