This feels so different from when batten transferred. What a great player and student athlete. Seriously I don't know how I am going to tell my children!

RE: Palmore to transfer
And, Monarch Blue, what will your criteria be? Stars? How the pieces fit in next season? Will people be willing to wait that long? if you consider BJ a recruit, and they add, say, another transfer, will people wait 2 years to judge?
I'm just curious. We are in very unique times in college basketball. What was it, 700 players transferred last year? Gotta imagine the list will be almost as large this go-round.
he's brought in, so far, Taylor (got him to stay), Arledge, Freeman (accepted the gift?), Douglas, Caver, Carver, Pervier, Stith I, Stith II, Biberaji, Vassor, Ebondo
With that conglomeration, how the hell do you judge recruiting prowess? Looks like thus far he has been filling in some cracks in the foundation.

Good luck to Keenan. I will miss watching him play. A great competitor and had some big moments on our team.

I think Caver, Carver, and Talley will give us an indication. They are the only traditional signees so far. The others, good and not as good, are guys that fell into his lap to an extent or guys he had to bring in to fill roster spots.

Well - of that list so far. Taylor has been pretty good, Arledge also pretty good, Freeman has been great, Douglas is on the upswing, Biberaj has been ok. The others it remains to be seen although I have positive expectations.
Overall I think he has earned at least a B in terms of bringing players in, no?

Keep in mind, he was recruiting off 5-25. I am willing to give him the 2016 recruiting class before I can really judge how he can recruit with a promising program. Late 2015 signee(s) would be a bonus.

He's certainly made effective use of everyone he's brought in. I'd say a B is fair, maybe B-

I wouldn't even know where to begin with a grade until next year, but I think that seems fair based off my perception.
I would say if 2 of the 4 between Pervier, Caver, Carver, and Talley can contribute significantly that would be at least a B.

If we can't sign two players with the two open scholarships, I would hope that Nik would be given one for his Senior year. I think he deserves it.

Here's what I judge. 27-8. In year two. One win shy of the school record for wins. These guys are flat out getting it done. Hold onto your hats people!

Im ok with Palmore transferring as long as he doesn't end up at vcu. The only things I didn't like about his game was his outside shooting and his floater.

RE: Palmore to transfer
I too would like to thank Keenan Palmore for his contributions and wish him the very best. From my vantage point, he has been a great team mate and a model citizen. As some have noted, he played through that painful 5 win season and could have bolted after that season. I value his loyalty and wish him all the best in his future!

Very true. It also takes time to build up the recruiting networks and relationships with high school and AAU coaches, etc. I think Jones and Stith are only just now beginning to come into their own. The verdict will not be truly known for another couple of years, but I tend to like what I see so far. I think the best is yet to come. Also, I have to wonder if any others will transfer out of the program, i.e., Clark. I would have expected him to go before Palmore.

RE: Palmore to transfer
Man, I thought Keenan would stick it out. Next year ODU is poised to have one of it's best seasons ever, and Keenan played a HUGE role in getting the program back to this point. What a luxury it was having the kind of experience he provided coming off the bench. I hope he lands somewhere that can provide the playing time he deserves. I will always be grateful as an ODU fan for what he did for the program, and will root for him wherever he lands. Some team will be lucky to have him.
