Marshall's Doc Holliday, Mike Hamrick sign contract extensions
This is great news for our athletic programs. Hamrick and Holliday have both done incredible jobs, respectively. Really happy that both of them have signed extensions, not to mention the fact that Marshall can afford $755,500/year for Doc.

"Hamrick's six-year extension is for $300,000 annually, a $30,000 raise. Holliday's six-year deal is for a total package of $755,500 -- up from $600,000 -- with additional dollars available through incentives tied to conference championships, bowls and season ticket sales. The contracts of both men extend until June 30, 2021."

I'm very happy about this extension, for both men. They certainly have us going in the right direction.

While it is still very difficult for us G5ers to compete with the big bucks, these types of extensions sure go a long way towards keeping our coaches focused on the task at hand. I salute all of our programs that recognize the importance of quality coaching and are not afraid to pay for it.04-cheers

Hamrick and Holliday both deserve the extensions. I feel good about both of them in their respective positions, both have been nothing but positive for Marshall.

Now Marshall needs to make the right hire for president of the university. I don't know if we will ever find anyone with the passion and fire that Dr Kopp had for not only the university but also the community. But we have to try and come close.
