RE: Spring FB Game
2 starter Qb conpetitors were out as well as top 3 RB's, many Dlinemen and a split young Oline. No surprise in the 6-5 outcome. Fun to watch the punters battle it out. I hope the Punt returning (or catching) improves this season. Also snaps on the QB's hands will be needed to succeed. Field goal kicking didnt get much of a look in the Spring Game. Voose has improved greatly from fall tho, and this Toledo team should be balanced and ready for Stony Brook when we get healthy!

Sarcasm? Are they expected to be much improved? I don't see how they got on ANY DI schedule, let alone UT's.

RE: Spring FB Game
I think Michael Julian will only see the field this year as a possible punter. He is a good athlete, so in the future, switching positions (TE or WR) may happen.

His Dad played at WMU...I told him his son needs to be a Rocket...no Row, Row, Row your boat. Flying under the radar for now...don't see that happening if his sr. year stats are anywhere close to jr. year.

That's great! Hope he enjoys his trip. That initial offer from UT is often a seal of approval for other programs. What I find really interesting about the Rocket program is the # of players that are going to grad schools and/or starting their own companies. Not to mention guys like Mancz and Page that have made All-American teams.
I know his Dad. He said Joe "loved his visit". He texted me a picture of him in a Rocket jersey. I told him he looks great in blue and gold!

I meant once we are healthy, our team will be ready to go in the fall. It just happens Stony Brook is who we play first. We should beat em rather easily... although they played UNH, UConn, and some other pretty good FCS teams tough. If they immprove even 4 points they would have won 8 game last season.

My son and I really enjoyed the day! Guys were great to the kids! I think Gibson is going to be a great QB! You can see he just has that "it" about him. He throws a great ball has great touch and looks to be very mobile. I hope he gets lots of reps. I am still not sold at all on julien. He just does not seem to have it, but boy can be punt! I love the size and speed we have on the team. I think this will be A special year! Go Rockets!!!
