My opinion. In many basketball fans view, Wisconsin is the classic underdog, even though the reality is they are one of the top programs.

Midwest school. No glamorous one and done players. A hard nosed coach. Most important, their colors don't include a disgusting shade of blue.

Read something interesting about Wisconsin's MBB. Apparently has a zero graduation rate for African American men and an overall rate of 40% which was 3rd worst among the 68 teams in the tournament this year.

Might speak to the values of the black community in America, rather than Wisconsin. Beyond that, how many black, non-athletic students; do people think attend duke? I think Duke's audience is pretty damn white in it's own right. I don't think either set up between Kentucky and Wisky would make much of a difference in drawing white viewers.

I took one of my daughters to a college visit to Duke. As a recruiter for Bowling Green who has been there several times (and recommended a great BBQ joint) told me, it is a very "southern" institution. I didn't understand what he meant until we spent a day there.

The only blacks we saw there the entire day were a high school tour group and the people tending the grounds and emptying the trash receptacles. Other than that, it was all white and Asian. Took awhile for a lily-white guy like me to notice, but it was painfully obvious once I did.

More importantly, Duke is chock full of ugly broads. A couple of miles down the road is UNC, which is loaded with models. The choice is clear.

Apparently, someone hung a noose from a tree outside the Duke Student center last week, so I guess it really is a "southern" institution.

If you haven't noticed...a lot of rich kids are ugly (dork parents mate).

Also, Undergraduate, Duke is approx 49% white...with Asian-American making up approx 21% of their student body (many come from California, which is the #1 state for out-of-state students to Duke...New York is #2), with about 11% African American, 10% International (yes, many are from Asia) and 8% Hispanic.
