To be fair to Barkers he said he heard a rumor. He did not call it fact. He also did not state what the rumor was. I agree it would have been best not to say anything at all. His post started folks to speculate in their minds what it was Kenny did. That in and of itself can be damaging.

rumors gonna rumor. I don't buy it. If Kenny Brooks leaves JMU on anything but his own terms, i believe it would shock everyone.

" I take that to mean that there is a rumor going around that Brooks isn't leaving on his own accord, but did something worthy of being removed from his position. I guess this all depends on barkers' moral compass (or is it "barkers's"???). For some a "horrible" rumor could mean Coach Brooks didn't flush after taking a dookie in a public restroom. For others it could be Coach Brooks was the one who let the air out of Tom Brady's footballs. Or God forbid something even worse, like him secretly dating a Kardashian.

In all seriousness without knowing if it's "horrible" for the future of the women's BB program cause he's leaving, or it's "horrible" because it would be a stain on Kenny's image or even result in him going to prison... imaginations can just wander all over the place.

I personally appreciate whatever "insider" information folks are comfortable divulging, as long as it doesn't remain open-ended indefinitely and be so vague that it leads to wild speculation. Especially someone as highly regarded as Coach Brooks.
