UA Board of Trustees
Here is the problem with the system that is currently in place. There's a Birmingham News article about the new hire to west of town and the article states that Finis St. John and the AD flew to Texas to meet the potential coach. Finis shouldnt be allowed to make any decisions when it comes to UAB athletics because he's clearly one of the boosters for another school. There's a serious conflict of interest going on here. To me this shows the quagmire UAB has to operate in.

I wonder if we can report recent booster interactions from board members to the NCAA. This is the type of interference that the NCAA is supposed to prevent

How is it not an NCAA and SACS violation that a booster of one program as complete control over another NCAA program? Clearly he has tampered with UAB.

FreeUAB from these power brokers or they will destroy it because absolute power corrupts absolutely.

It's amazing for any board member to help interview coaching candidates. Even more amazing given #FreeUAB climate of overreach accusations.

UA BOT member Finis St. John was present at interviews with both Avery Johnson and Gregg Marshall, the Tuscaloosa News has learned.

The NCAA has "selective enforcement " issues when it comes to the inhabitants of "Finebaum's World", and a handful of other "privileged 5" programs, you can take a good guess as to who most or some of them are.."Allybammy" is one of them for sure. Rules, regs and laws don't apply to them, and there's a political structure in place here that enables them to think and act as they do.

Wonder when the last time a trustee went out of their way to help UAB interview candidates? I'll hang up and listen.

RE: UA Board of Trustees
This is wrong....all wrong! UAB needs it's own Board because of clowns like this. Awful conflict of interest and he would probably say it's not because they dont want UAB to have an athletic department. I'll bet you a fat pig Ray Watts knows this and that may be the essence of the deal.

@9911: Ya beat me to it they sure as hell had no problem taking a run at Auburn, though, did they? SACS is sackless, and the "c" in "NCAA" stands for "Cowards."

We can write to complain about anything we want to, just make sure you ask for a return receipt or proof of receiving the complaint.. At the very least you will have the proof that you made a complaint and the SACS people acknowledge they received it..

When they said hell no to hiring Coach Sullivan, then no to Jimbo, and as pointed out above, said yes to Callaway. 03-puke

Don't you know Finis can do no wrong? The rules that apply to normal men don't apply to Finis. His doesn't stink, privileged boy that he is. Can't you just acknowledge his innate superiority and right to rule?

Finis is simply picking up where PBJ left off... PBJ is now tending to his multi-million dollar baseball stadium renovation in Tuscaloosa he funded and approved.

UA Board of Trustees
My question is how no one can care? Yes I understand big money is at play here. But you're talking about incredible micromanagement of a system funded largely by taxpayers.

I can understand the UA loyalists not getting up in arms. Where are the Auburn folks in this? Don't they realize their taxpayer dollars are feeding UA growth? Wouldn't they love to help drive a wedge between their arch rival and the money the UA machine is so desperately dependent on UAB for? If I were an Auburn person, I would be all over this in support of UAB.
