A freshman bench player who averaged 4 ppg dropped 10 in 5 minutes in the second half. That's how they won.

Shouldn't have come to that. Duke's not a deep team and they were in foul trouble on a regular basis. To top it off, Cook and Matt Jones provided next to nothing.

Multiple points in the game where Wisconsin could have (and should have) blown it open and they failed miserably. Coach K managed the game about as good as he could have.

Greg Gumbel said something like Ryan was gracious but I thought he was anything but that. He never once congratulated Duke in the interview outside the locker room. He spent the whole interview not so subtly whining about the officiating.

I'm not a WI fan at all and could care less who won, but that staff changed how the game was called after halftime. Was like they flicked a switch. Coach K worked them over on inequity and it worked. I'd be bitter, too if I was a WI fan.

The better team won

Duke attacked the basket more in 2nd half.

Refs made bad calls for both teams. Ball was clearly off Winslow after the Wisky player hacked his arm.

Dekker walked clear as day on his layup off the steal.

3rd Foul on Okafor was ALL ball and caused him to sit most of the 2nd half.

Kaminski was given the Jordan rules last night. He didn't pick up a single foul until he bear hugged Okafor in last few minutes which by rule should have been an intentional foul. made no play on the ball just wrapped his arms around him from behind

Duke would beat Wisky 7 or 8 out of 10. better team and a bad matchup for Wisky

They won with Okafor (22 minutes) and Winslow playing the entire game in foul trouble

There is no such thing as an intentional foul anywhere in the rule book. That term was replaced by the flagrant 1 and flagrant 2 rules.

About the only good thing I can try to take away from this is that UK fans can't even claim to have lost to the eventual champion. The hated Dook is now walking around with "their" trophy. Hell, they even beat them at their own game with a bunch of one and done players. Oh, the humanity.

Ok.- then by the rule it should have been called a Flagrant 1 for making no play on the ball

NCAA Rule Changes- Flagrant 1
