If you had to pick a new team.
If you had to pick a new school to follow in Conference USA because yours dropped every sport who would you choose. I would choose Charlotte, then UAB, and NT/UTSA. WKU and MTSU would be the last two schools I would follow.

If my school shut down athletics, I'd shut down my college sports interest. I'd find something to do not anywhere near as time consuming or expensive. Just not interested in being a fan of another school, that I have no interest in or connection to.

I was about to post the same thing. College sport is generally about deep connections that will justify the time and money you pour into it and the heartbreaks that are the return on your investment. 03-banghead03-banghead

To be honest, I likely wouldn't follow CUSA if Marshall weren't in it. I just don't have much emotion or connection to anyone else in the league.

As a UAB fan, I can honestly tell you without a football program this season I will watch very little college football but would have a small rooting interest in UTEP. I'm more of a professional guy anyways so I'll be tuned in to the NFL and the MLB. But I will be all in on college basketball! If UAB didn't have a basketball team, I would pick UTEP. I lived in El Paso for 4 years and attended many games at the Haskins Center.

The other school I earned a degree at is not in C-USA so I would just follow them and not so much C-USA.

If MT were to drop F'Ball; I'd save a bunch of Money and Time. With some family members who attended Western, I'd probably pull for the hated rival buy it would be a long, long time before I'd actually give a damn, if ever. If MT dropped all sports, I'd probably eliminate college sports from my life or limit my support to those schools attended by my grandchildren!

I would no longer follow C-USA. I'd have a passive interest in UGA. Some of my family roots for them so I like to see them do well.

The responses say alot about the fans of the conference. Folks talk about bettering the conference, but wouldn't care about the conference if their team wasn't involved...either you care or you dont...from the responses, it's a dont...

For me, probably the muts...have history with them, so I'd want to see them succeed
