RE: Memphis Flyer Q & A with Justin Fuente
I'm gonna be watching for these guys.

Question: Who are some players you see emerging into larger roles next fall?

Answer: Some of our returning players on defense: [linebacker] Jackson Dillon, [linebacker] Leonard Pegues has played a lot, [linebacker] Wynton McManis. [Safety] Reggis Ball has played quite a bit. [Defensive end] Ernest Suttles played a lot last year as a freshman. They’ve continued to get better, and are starting to feel comfortable in their own leadership styles.

Dillon is tall. Was #34 last year. Usually on right side of D. He played out of position all year and frustrated the s&!* outta me. I felt like he would get the schemes at times and pulled for him then he would chase to the other side of the field and get us killed. Then he clicked in the bowl game-he was a totally different guy. He made plays and stayed home covering his assignments. He really evolved well last year. I think he'll be awesome in the next year or two. IMHO

We lost a lot of defense. Hopefully, tiger fans will realize that and temper down expectations. Overall, i think we will be ok. Fuente has done a good job getting these guys to play as a team and that hides a lot of the individual weaknesses.

Dillon had a coming out party in the bowl game. It was incredible.

So true, I'm hoping Dillon continues on that bowl game path and wrecks all the AAC QB's!!
