Emphasis on lately. I know there's always been a few bitter detractors, but lately it seems ridiculous. It's not like there's nothing interesting happening with the regional teams nearby.

These guys have done this for years now, every thread, every post. I only read the stuff when it's quoted, but it's still like spam in your email, overwhelming and ridiculous, like the 37 UN Lotteries your email address won yesterday.

RE: When the biggest celebration of the season...
OP is crushed that his idol Calipari got whipped again in the Final Four. He spent the night in bitter retrospection, trying to come to grips with his emotional distress. Choking back tears seeing Calipari burying his face in a towel toward the end of the game.....weeping while reading of the unrestrained rage erupting across Wildcat Nation...riots in Lexington over what they felt was owed to them...ANOTHER COLLAPSE IN THE FINAL 4. It burns, it hurts; we get it. You prop Calipari up as the Master of the College Basketball Universe, promote his buying of the best recruits in the country as "business", then gnash your teeth to chalk dust as he blow yet ANOTHER national championship opportunity.

You then come on this site the next day and berate this fan base for THOROUGHLY ENJOYING his most recent choke job. LOL!!

I remind you, good sir, it's not just about THIS year with Calipari. It's about 2009 and the way he left. For the zillionth time...it's about the WAY he tore down the program he built here. That vindictive SOB dismantled it deliberately. THAT is what bothers so many TIGER fans. Again, go back and read the archived posts from that time.

So, yes indeed, Calipari's choke last night denying his that much anticipated 40-0 season was SWEET.

Oh, and one final observation: it is QUITE invigorating knowing Tiger Nation's collective enjoyment of his choke bothers you immensely. You feel your master's failure almost as much as he did last night.

Got proof? Relying on 18-20 usual posters in a message board doesn't represent all tiger fans let alone all on this board

A lot of people all over the country celebrate KY losing just as much as a lot of people will be rooting that Duke loses. Those are national teams people dislike

Yep. I celebrate as much (well, almost) when Notre Dame loses. The first time I have ever pulled for them was their elite 8 matchup with UK.

Exactly my point. Thanks for bolstering it.

The joy over one program's loss was greater than any joy exhibited this season for any Tiger victory...as evidenced by the total thread number.

There's an underlying psychology going on.

Spurned lover kind of thing.

I know. It really is sad to be so eaten up with hatred that your whole life revolves around it. But, like you, I mostly just ignore it like you would the ravings of a rabid ground squirrel.

I just think it's funny. No ulterior motive at all.

Also, no celebration.

Well your boy Josh recently praised Cal as being the best coach in the world and now he is suddenly silent? No Congrats to Whiskey at all?

Yea, eating crow isn’t in his persona. Good coaching isn’t either.

He said what? When?

The last I heard, he said Wisconsin should win. He didn't come out and they had a better coach, but he's not that kind of guy.

BTW, I think the straw you're grasping at was his opinion of Cal's recruiting, not coaching.

He didn't say Cal was the best coach, he said Cal was the best at recruiting per what the OP in the other thread stated

Find any of the 18 Tiger victories where there were at least 11 celebratory threads (which there currently are for Kentucky/Calipari) and I will gladly admit to a mistake.

Seems a lot of folks are obsessed more with Kentucky losing than Memphis winning.
