Based on my interactions with my friends, black guys use that word the way I use the word "dude".

It really isn't a big deal. He was emotional from the loss and really was acknowledging that Kaminsky kicked their butt.

I've been out with my boys (six and under) and you hear the N-bomb thrown around by the brothers like it is no big deal. I always worry that my boys are going to be outside playing with the neighbors and drop that word and wreck havoc unknowingly. I do think our neighbors would understand since my kids love playing with them, though I'm sure I'd have to talk to them about how often they hear it out and about. They asked me what that means and it is a tough subject. I just tell them it is a bad word and not a word to be used, but it is amazing how much you hear it anymore like it is no big deal. But I'm sure if I dropped it, I'd get my butt whooped.
