What might be more interesting is P5 schools that have never been to a final four. I guess Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Bama, Auburn, Mizzou, South Carolina, snd Clemson would be on that list.

A couple of those (Both NU's) have never won an NCAA Tournament game or in one case, been to one.

What is the point of this exercise?

All things are relative. I'm an Alabamian. We have good natural resources, aren't cramped in our living conditions, live well on less, and have great weather most of the time. I've lived in or been to 47 of the other 48 contiguous states. I like Southern Tennessee, the U.P. of Michigan, Washington State, the coast of South Carolina and Georgia, and Alabama. Of those only Tennessee is the better bargain. I wouldn't live in Rhode Island if you put a gun to my head. Vermont and New Hampshire quite possibly as I like their space and natural attributes. Until you've lived somewhere all of the national statistics don't mean much. You have to experience the states to see them for what they are.

UNC Charlotte went to the Final Four as a member of the Sun Belt in 1978.

Umm Holy Cross is in the Patriot League so there is a team in that conference that has been to a final four not as a current member though.
