You are right. Whisky "recruits" 15 to 20 players a year and signs 3 or 4. Every school does this. If your 1,2 or 3 players do not sign then you go after 4. They promise everybody a ride, stretch it out until the top guy signs. It is not a binding contract until signing day. It is number game, and our #4 star guard to NIU was probably a last option for him. Not bad for us.

Just has to be a good sign when NIU can snatch someone that a Final Four team was also pursuing.

There are over 150 players just in the MAC, so 90th in the country would be very good. He did not shoot a lot but enough for teams to respect his 3pt shot. Aaron's % would put him 2nd or 3rd amongst the players in the final four.

On an unrelated note, since when did Jim Nance become Dick Vitale? I think someone told him he needs to not sound asleep this year, but his enthusiasm sounds so forced and artificial. There has to be a better announcing crew than this for a Final Four, geesh.

Pretty cool to see the Huskies' court as his main picture on twitter, kinda gives you the chills, almost feels too good to be true for NIU to land a talent like this.

I guess when you have the possibility of having an undefeated team on Monday primetime TV its too risky to call karate chop to the neck flagrant fouls, just a complete joke. College athletics is so corrupt in so many ways.

I hate Wisco. Their fans treated me and my family like crap in 2 separate trips to Madison. Their fans are rude.

This aside...WI won the game despite BS officiating. The announcers wanted KY really bad...it was really gross to listen.

There are jacka** Wisconsin fans like any other program, but the bulk of their fans are class acts. It certainly was gross to listen to though.

What channel did you watch it on? TNT had the Kentucky announcers, TruTV the Wisconsin ones, and TBS the neutral ones. I was originally watching it on TNT, and shocked at the pro Kentucky announcers, until I realized they were showing it like that.

As stated before, every school -- our's included -- have some fans that act like idiots. I've had the exact opposite experience, but I'm not about to label all Badger fans saints or angels.
Until you try to announce or even write a game story straight down the middle, it's pretty easy to start hearing comments a certain way. Never once did I get the feeling the announcers "wanted KY really bad." And with all due respect to Maddawgz, I'd rather have Bill Rafferty than some of their previous color commentators. The worst was the ACC-bias of Billy Packer on the original CBS telecasts.
Jim Nance noted early on in both halves that fans could catch the same game (picture-wise) with a former player doing color commentary for each of the schools on either TNT or TruTV. Was tempted to switch over to the "Kentucky feed" just to hear the wailing, nashing of teeth and crying of the Big Blue.

Nance especially wanted Kentucky. He would not drop after the game the Nigel Hayes late put back with the shot clock. Yeah it was a bad call, but Nance seemed to selectively forget a flagrant foul was not called for a karate chop to the neck (there should have been an ejection for it, but no foul was called).

If you watch the championship game, you'll notice Coach K's balls will never be wetter.

Despite that evil face of his. Yeeesh.

Bo Ryan, stop being a sore loser and just shut up! Duke beat you twice this year, they are better than you.

I thought it was unfortunate Bo Ryan went there, but I believe he was right. He should not have said anything in that moment though. This year has really highlighted to me just how much of a country club this college basketball tournament is. If your name is not UCLA, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, UConn, or North Carolina, you are given a pretty tough ride. The announcing was so one-sided last night, you could see they were uncomfortable having anyone but the traditional powers in the championship game. I have never seen freshman that poised before in my life as Duke has.

Koenig was fouled almost every time a defender tried to slip a UW screen in this tournament and it was never called. If that was the Duke freshman guard, it would have been called every time, no doubt about that.

What Bo was really saying is, the refs never call fouls on us, what gives? You have 3 pro's on your team, you are just like Duke. Bo knows, if Decker leaves, he is in for a rough year next year. He also knows that he probably never wins a title.

It was not called fairly vs Duke, there isn't much arguing that, it probably did not make the difference though. I do understand him being bitter because of what was on the line, but somehow someway you do have to restrain yourself from not making it vocal after the game.

Wisky was up 9 on Duke, it was not the reason for the L but the horrible calls happened. Bo should not speak to that, he does not need to. Media and Fans will argue that point for Bo. Win with class, lose with class. Boy was I yelling for the Badgers.
