RE: What a Game...
Game was as close to physical combat as a NCAA basketball game can get(Sans actual fighting). We out toughed them. Sadly, though that team was solid 1-5, it couldn't pull of the win over Sullinger and Co.
Still, great year with a lot of good wins. Knocking off Syracuse was huge too.

That was micks best team and no wonder it made a sweet 16. Had a true PG, a talented big man capable of scoring inside, several other guards capable of knocking down shots, and an energizer bunny jumping around the lane causing havoc in JJ.

I was 8 rows behind the FSU bench for this game. Loved every second of that weekend. The St. Bonaventure fans, Rick Barnes' reaction when his team finally scored, OU's run as well...man, that was the best pod trip I've been at, been going for 8 years now.

RE: What a Game...
Dion Dixon with the game changing steal on defense, followed by Cashmere Wright with the ankle breaker!

The last 4 minutes of that game are a microcosm of Dion's career at UC. Momentum turning plays in both directions (steal/dunk, traveling on the inbounds and TO on the another). It's sad that the two mental pictures I'll have when someone brings up Dion Dixon aren't both extremely positive, especially given his recent successes professionally (for those who don't know, he's averaging 30ppg and 9apg for Homenetmen Beirut) and his many highlights (for the record, the two are his steal/dunk against FSU and him dribbling off his knee against WVU)

That team got a hand on every ball it was incredible. Cash was so slick reaching in and not fouling. Makes you really appreciate that squad seeing them play again.

Thanks for posting, don't get TBS anyway. Forgot how good/important Dion Dixon was...fun to watch. Surprised I saw USF making the tourney (losing to O$U).

They lost to the Bobcats not the Buckeyes.

RE: What a Game...
I was able to buy 30 dollar tickets off of Craigs list for the FSU game. Great time. The four of us saw two great games and thoroughly enjoyed Nashville.
