Conference Realignment time! JMU Men's (club?) Ice Hockey team announced a change of conference to the ACCHL (DII). They'll be playing the likes of Duke, UNC, NC State, UVA, Georgetown, Wake Forest, Charlotte, Elon, Navy, George Washington, High Point, St Joe's.

Living in Charlottesville, it's really cool to go by the Ice Park and catch a free JMU game. The team is actually pretty good, so playing some bigger schools will be fun to watch.

Obviously a precursor to an all sports move to the ACC.

Not that I ever saw, hopefully eventually.

Definitely recommend getting out to a game for anyone that hasn't, it's especially great against UVA. JMU fans usually end up being the loudest even though it's in Charlottesville.

We no longer are playing Sacred Heart, High Peak, Norfolk State, Radford, Longwood, Campbell; sorry wrong team posting.

This is great for those guys. Definitely recommend getting out to a game.

I had no idea we had a club ice hockey team. That's really cool.

Despite the predictable, and rather tiresome, snark this is good news to see. Someone finds the Club and support etc. worthy of an invite to what looks like a pretty great league.

If someone would like to take it on, cause I'll never think to look week in, week out, someone want to post on game days? I'd go to a C-ville game if I can, or elsewhere. I enjoy watching hockey live, this would be pretty cool to go to.

I can try to remember to do that once they start up again... There's also a facebook page that's definitely the way to go for checking on when games are. There seems to always be at least a couple times each year where things get changed last minute from what the initial schedule said. One time we went to Charlottesville for a game just to find out it had been postponed, it was on the facebook page if we would've checked that first.
